I have recorded some tv shows on my media center pc and all of them work except one which gives me a blue screen and a message about the provider restricting the content or something after about 10 seconds in. The movie is The Bus Stop with Marilyn Monroe, and I recorded it on AMC. I can watch that channel fine and record other things on that channel ok.
I have this same problem. I have researched it a bit and read that some stations have recently implemented a type of recording protection which will allow you to record and watch tv but you can’t watch it on other pcs. I have also read that this new technology is buggy and unreliable. In my case, I was trying to watch the show on the same pc it was recorded on, and I had not done any new changes to my pc or anything weird. I search a long time to figure it out and finally gave up without an answer. The only thing I could suggest will not help you recover existing recordings but may help you in future. Get the latest updates and patches from Microsoft and then reset your DRM (digital rights media). I have included reference links below.

Normally the basic service job itself takes anywhere between twenty minutes to an hour or two.
The additional time (up to a month or more in some awkward cases) is to make sure that the watch is keeping good time and to enable fine adjustments to the mechanism and twelve days is a much faster turnaround than many. Many fine quality Swiss watch mechanisms are regulated by the manufacturer for six months to a year before they’re passed as certified chronometers and installed into a watch casing.
Also, as one of the other answers mentioned, the watch could simply be going into a queue for work to be done in which case there is a basic service/cleaning but only a brief check over about twenty-four hours for accuracy.
Another likely possibility is that twelve days allows the approved dealer sufficient turnaround time to send the watch away to a workshop possibly even in another country.
What is the best type of metal for the strap. I can spend between £100 & £250. My arm goes black with some metals

if anyone owns or knows someone who owns this watch know if the strap can be adjusted manually or does it have to be done by a jeweller by taking links out??its the gold plated watch that looks a bit like a rolex … ive just bought one and its arriving tomorrow…
A girl friend of long ago (60 years) bought me an Accurist gold wrist watch and it is still keeping perfect time. Not an answer to your question, I know but well worth the telling, I think.

This person is a concrete finisher. I have already bought him a nice watch for going out, but he really needs one for work. What do you recommend for a good, inexpensive (under $100), tough watch for a very rough, dusty job?

im trying to watch videos on MTV.com and abc.com, but they always say "Copyright restricts play to within the US only" (or like that)
so basically was wondering what FREE methods are there to get around this?
One option is using a public proxy server in the US. Basically you connect with your browser to a proxy server and access MTV and/or ABC; as far as MTV/ABC concerned, you are accessing them from within the US. The proxy server will also make you browsing anonymous that you might prefer anyway. Here’s a link for one of the sites that lists public proxy servers:

Alternatively, you could just type into Yahoo "public proxy servers in the US".
